Quite true. With the help of @Jimmy07 I called up KARR and asked them about the unit. They confirmed it was installed at the original dealer in California and that it was still active but only as a shock sensor for the alarm. They said it was up to me if I wanted to leave it on or take it off...

it is from a large Ram dealer here in town. I do have a loan with a bank but it’s a “normal” for the times. It’s not with the dealer itself. I suspect it was on there prior to purchase as they didn’t have time to put anything on when I bought it.
