The Ram 2500 was not scoring as good as its competitors that were being tested. I doubt it will be a favorite as a patrol vehicle. I can see Departments maybe getting one or 2 for specialized tasks like search and rescue or ADOT enforcement that need some payload to carry equipment.
The diesel versions of the 2500s only get about 2600lbs of payload. Hemi version can get up to 3600lbs.
The problem is most 5th wheels have 2600-3000lbs of pin weight or more. My Pinnacle has 3600lbs of pin weight. By the time you add passengers and any other cargo you can eat up the cargo...
So which AEV suspension are talking about - if its anything more than their 35" tire clearance kit - 35s may look odd. Why not just go with 37s - makes more sense for what you are using it for.

I noticed mine was half way between 1/2 and 1/4 one day, flipped past the screen and forgot about it. The next day I looked ant it was at ZERO. So after 2 days of 35-50 mph of short trip driving it the truck did its...
It sees the 1500s have this feature on by default? I wish they had made it standard on all the 2019-2024 HD trucks - although I think my buddies 2025 had it enabled from the factory - he just had to turn it on in the EVIC.
I was told by my local dealer that all trucks on the lot are "priority" over trucks already on the road. He did say if yours isn't working while towing there is a work around.
Connect the trailer with the truck off - remote start the truck - the brake controller should be working.
Once you...
