So far, that seems like the case. I haven't actually gotten the truck back yet. They're also replacing the drag link and haven't gotten that quote dialed in yet.
Update: According to my service advisor, and I quote, "guess [the] tech's an idiot and can't read paperwork. Having to replace starter on your truck". Which is what I brought it in for in the first place.
Came across this thread after my service advisor just told me that I may need a new cam and lifters. I took it in because it suddenly started being hard to start. I never had any ticking sounds though, and I'm at around 87k miles. He said that the tech needs to tear it down to make sure. I've...
On the older 12", you long press on the lower left and right icons (however you have them set up). On the Uconnect 5, there's a different method, I think, but I have the older one.
I've purchased several service plans from them over the years. The only reason I didn't on my current truck is because the selling dealer matched their price and it was easier to roll into the loan. I always recommend them however!
They did that to mine as well. I got them to at least give me a credit for what the remainder of my trial would have cost if I had to pay for it. The tech people in the Phillipines are really good at screwing it up.
My wife's 2002 Durango recently (I think) started doing this as well. It acts as though there is a two stage sensor. If you go out in the daylight and cover the sensor, the headlights will turn on. After a few seconds if it remains covered, the interior lights will dim as well. We recently had...
Has anyone ever been able to get this to work? I can't on mine or on my wife's Durango with UConnect 5. Don't look at the fingerprints all over it
EDIT: I went to the dealer yesterday and paid $80 to get the radio updated to version 39.xx and now I can actually log into that. Spoiler- no real...
I'm glad that I saw this. If I check Uconnect's site, it tells me that I have no updates available, but my truck is on 19.49.13. That seems like I SHOULD have an update!
I
I had thought about doing that, but getting and routing the wiring harness is the daunting part, as it has to go through the firewall. I'd be interested to know how you make out.
I will say to be careful with the OEM deflectors. Almost all of the screws came loose over the course of about 6 months and needed to be tightened. I noticed because the two right side ones were loose enough that it started flapping on the highway. Make it a regular maintenance check!
I just use GasBuddy. Usually way more up to date than what the truck tells you anyway. Nice to see it on the screen, but I wonder where the data comes from. Kinda like the weather forecasts.
I've never paid for a map update. The fact that a car company, especially one that offers Carplay/Android Auto, is audacious enough to ask for $150 to get an already outdated product just flabbergasts me. I went round and round with them a few years ago when in my 2016 3500, an INTERSTATE...
