Removing F82 and replacing did not work for me. I only removed it for a minute or so. After that I did the batt cable trick and my buttons are working again.
I believe they already replaced a module...i think it was that module. I need to reference the paperwork to be sure though.
I will try this before I leave the office today and see if it works for me. my buttons are not working at the moment and I haven't had a chance to pull the batt cables.
2023 2500. 53xxx miles. I bought it 5/31/23. The damn steering wheel controls going out has been one of the most annoying issues I have ever had on a vehicle. Ram can't fix it, they seem to be willing to keep trying but at this point they are replacing items they have already replaced during...
If it makes you feel better, I am on my 6th Ram Cummins. I have had great luck with the trucks overall. Until this point any pain and suffering was self inflicted since I voided warranties and chased horsepower.
For those of you still under warranty, and less than a year old - I would kick...
I am still dealing with this issue. I have been getting by popping the batt cables off for 5 min here and there. Prob done it about 1/2 dozen times now. Dealer is useless. Ram is useless. Pretty much getting ghosted on return calls from dealer.
I had the GDP horn, plenum, and that heater on my 2008 back in the day. Worked great! I honestly cant remember if I had to replace that injector line to run it. What intake horn are you using? Does your truck have the EGR system still? I also considered this heater, but I am emissions...
Also - I am not interested in the BD solution. The OEM heater still gets all sooted up, and if I am digging in that far to install the BD might as well do it my preferred way.
I intend to delete the grid heater on my 23 immediately. I was one of the unlucky ones who had an engine failure due to this issue on my 2013, so I am paranoid to say the least. I thought the engine was covered to 100k, but recently learned the grid heater falls under 3yr/36k and if it fails and...
Case#90794036 - This is my case # with US customer care. Ram is unable to fix my truck. They have tried numerous times, and they are now circling back replacing the same parts that were previously replaced 1 and 2 times already.
I've done the battery disconnect trick 3x now to get my controls back working. Each time, the "fix" has lasted a different length of time. Just stopped working again today.
This pisses me off so much. @RamCares fix this BS!!
Daily for the most part. Truck is always clean.. I have a membership for unlimited washes at the car wash chain near us.
I literally just got home from washing it.
Can I ask, why?
Doesn't the plate bracket come with the hardware needed to secure it? Like those little plastic bushings the self tapper screws thread into?
I tossed my plate bracket, and ordered the painted to match plugs. Would recommend...
I took the Ram in late last week and they swapped a module and the buttons and lights are fully functional again. I was in a hurry and the paperwork was not done - so I am not exactly sure what was swapped. Waiting on paperwork to be emailed still.
Fingers crossed they got it this time!
That is exactly what is happening, but the grid heater light only illuminates before startup, it will not illuminate as the heater cycles during warmup.
ON the older trucks it used to dim the cluster lights/interior lights when it would cycle.
This thread has me a bit concerned. I regularly...
Falken wildpeak at3w/at4w - I got 55k out of my at3w's and could have gotten another 5k if I wasn't worried about the best possible snow performance possible.
I just had at4w's installed day before Thanksgiving and so far just as quiet and smooth as the at3w.
Managed to change the oil, air filter, and fuel filters on Sunday. It was 19* F and I hate changing fuel filters.
Has anyone made the switch to a spin on filter solution? I am tempted to do so. I freaking hate the cartridge style. The cost stinks, but the mess is worse. I cannot...
The tires look good! No flares don't flare much, but its enough to help cut down road spray combined with the mud flaps.
The light bar is awesome. I have never used it anywhere except behind the grill, so cannot say how much that cuts down output. The last 60 miles or so to our cabin is...
:D I will try Lol.
Thank you. Sounds like we have about the same tire change interval and plan. Yes, just a bit of poke. I've had +18 on a few trucks with flares and its great. I have heard you may need it to avoid rubbing control arms. I had intended to mount the tires on my stock wheels...
