Paint is done, it’s got to out gas for a month before PPF, then the mechanical/electrical upfit can start, so steady as she goes.

Finally got a photo of our new truck from the up fitter, as predicted brand new truck in bits… ahh the waiting.

They have their online stuff dialed and the communication is excellent. Hopefully the in person is as good.

Got a call from MD, upfitter accepted the truck so time to pay. Documents done on line, check. Wire set up to go out. Check. Should be the owner by Tuesday next week due to long weekend. Upfitter should (If they haven’t already) start pulling a brand new truck (I haven’t even seen) apart...

Delivered to upfitter. Tracker still shows TBD for shipping. I can live with tracker being wrong and the truck being where it needs to be. So from Built notice (July 31) to being delivered (August 22) @AnthonyRI was bang on the money with the observation that they get to upfitters quickly.

Integrated, have a flatbed and pop top ( 6 years ), so know the compromises well. Upper management foresees us keeping the flatbed truck as it is sorted, paid off, pin stripped and well proven. Win. We’ll sell the pop top once the hard side proves its self worthy. Photos will be awhile away...

Built, Checked Friday was “in production “ this morning was “vehicle built”. Got the window sticker and all seems present. Now let see if Anthony at MD observation that orders that drop ship to up fitters tend to be a bit quicker than dealers pans out.

Ordered June 13 and tracking info didn’t show anything till July 14. Having ordered a couple motorcycles over the years this is bizarre to have any info at all. Motorcycles are “ We’ll ring you when it’s here”.

@AnthonyRI, I know you don’t do Cab Chassis, however any help appreciated. Went to order a 3500 CC, DRW, Big Horn, Laramie Group Trim with Safety Group. Dealer said the Saftey Group was not available with Laramie Group according to his system. He could order the safety group with Big Horn...
