2024 power wagon, just hit 10,000 miles. used about 1/3 quart in 4000 miles of highway driving.

Any problems fitting the spare tire in the well?

Ordered a complete set from Dethloff couple of days ago. Hoping to install myself but have a shop ready to go just in case.

Update: The dealer replaced the winch and the clutch, though still stiff, is much easier to turn. I was finally able to pre tension the tow rope.

Given the number of people having problems with their winch I am wondering if this could turn into some kind of recall.

As an update: I went to the dealer today, they agreed that it should not be this difficult/impossible to turn. Stated that they did not have any way to fix in their repair shop so will order new unit. They did caution that it was a special item and might take awhile.

Any problem mounting same size in spare tire well?

What are channel locks?

Haven't taken it in yet, holidays and such. I have alerted the dealer and they are aware of the issue. I will post the resolution when I take it in. Probably several weeks.

So tried unspooling it, didn't make a difference. Thanks for the suggestion. Off to the dealer. FYI was at a repair place and turned the clutch on a warn winch that was for sale, fairly easy to turn.

Brand new. less than a month old. Took it to dealer (not one I purchased truck from) they would not do anything. Said that they think they would be denied warranty claim. Taking it to dealer I purchased from.

I have found mine almost impossible to turn. I know it is in a difficult position but still.... Will try unspooling it. Otherwise, am taking in to the dealer I purchased from.

New power wagon owner. Am thinking about swapping out the OEM tire for BFG T/a KO 3 in LT315/70R17/F 128S size. Will this work with no rubbing and importantly will it fit in the spare tire location? This tire is listed as 34.4 inch diameter.
