Just an update, the belt was replaced at 600 miles. The noise seemed to go away until 800 miles when it slowly came back. I now have 2000 miles on the truck and this is what it sounds like
I made another appointed for 3 weeks from now. The noise still sounds like a tensioner or idler pulley to me.
Yes, they said it was the belt. 10 day wait to get a belt in stock, but I just got it back and put 300 miles on it. Seems that the noise is gone for now. Still skeptical, but time will tell. They said the oil was just the anti corrosion, so they wiped that off.
Update: today I noticed oil on my concrete garage floor under the truck. I got under the truck and saw this oil leaking from what appears to be the rear main. Now I am wonder if the crank is walking or something like that. Anyone experience a leak like this? Truck has 300 miles on it now.
Hey guys, just picked up my truck this week. Everything was great until around 200 miles I started to get a loud chirp from the belt area on a cold start. It goes away after 15 minutes, increases with RPM, and doesn't change with AC on or off. To me it sounds like a bad bearing in a pulley or...
