I was eyeing that one originally since we have a Mopar Maxcare on our Durango but we've had issues with how long it takes to get approval/repairs done and one benefit of the one Mark Dodge was offering was the fact you could goto any ASE tech but the years were capped at 6 (no much benefit on...
We just got notified of our vehicle arriving at Mark Dodge and are in the process of doing all the paperwork. It seems as though they don't offer the Mopar extended warranty and instead offer OSI (versant group). I was just curious if anyone has any insight into the differences between the two...
Ended up
2024 2500 limited
Delmonico Red Paint
Auto leveling air suspension
Limited level 1
Night edition
Tow mode camera
Tow mode plus group
Protection group
Bed step
Anti spin rear diff
Understand but not super useful in Florida LOL.... I think I've locked down my options unfortunately now I'm debating do I order a 2024 or wait for 2025
The adaptive cruise item has been around for a very long time our 2012 durango has the same issue with braking but I suppose it's perhaps a safety thing.
Thanks the problem is "want" vs "need" is the big question... right now we don't own a trailer and as much as I'd love to in like 5 years there is no guarantee we will. I also like to keep vehicles for a long time (current truck I've owned for 16 years)
Sorry for the slow response but I was doing some more digging so the Limited level 1 appears to come with the digitial rearview mirror, adaptive steering, and trailer reverse guidance. So to get the Tow Mode DRVM group I would just but the camera and not the package correct? Is the Tow Tech...
I'll look at prices and see if I can find anything. Right now it's between a Ram and a GMC but it seems like most places have been ordering rams without the RAMBOX option which is a big one I was looking for. Unfortunately I just missed out on a slightly used 2500 yesterday at a good price...
Lol... She doesn't know much about cars but she does pick up quick
It comes back to the "Need" even asking for a 2500 was pushing it based on what we do daily and everything so a 3500 was an even farther stretch. I have expanded my search for 3500's cause if I can find one for the right price...
Is the TPMS just the sensors or is it the whole system? Sorry trying to figure out which items are a must have when buying vs adding later to help determine which vehicle to buy/build
@AH64ID thank you. It sounds like self leveling, Cargo camera, and trailer surround could be useful. Also the trailer TPMS sounds like a useful feature to have.
I fully expected a wide range of answers since everyone has a different use. I guess let me rephrase it.... I'm torn on the following items because I don't know what they do or if I'd really use them
- Aux switches prep (or the aux switches)
- Adaptive steering (probably not super useful for...
Honestly the Ram boxes are one of the only things pushing me to Dodge LOL.... Test drove a Sierra 2500 Denali and it was a nice truck but storage was problematic.
I've been looking more at the payload ratings than the payload lately as I figured they'd likely be the limiting factor especially with the top level stuff like the limited. I was a little shocked they're only like 1820 pounds when GMC was up in the 3000 pound payload capacity. I was thinking...
We're trying to figure out what we'd have to spend to get what we want. Right now there is only occasional towing of a classic car with a rented trailer but we have 2 young boys and I'd like to possibly rent/buy a trailer to try to our camping with them at some point. I can't envision needing to...
