Your truck, do as you wish. All I know for certain is that the 22+ ecm has NOT been cracked, which means there is absolutely no way to TUNE them, unless you swap.
Done months of research on the topic, I personally would not do it. More bad than good, all it does is turn off sensors, usually timed. Spend the coin, swap and get reliability and don’t worry about your truck misbehaving.
You can get flux cored stainless wire, it’s a little expensive and it’s not as pretty as using mig and gas but I’ve used it with my little 110 wire feeder and it works well. All things considered.
This is gonna be a long post.
So I bought several different air filters after having frequent regeneration issues over the last 2 weeks and popping a check engine light for frequent regenerations. I had been buying the Fleetguard air filter for several years, since the whole glue strip issue...
Towing made no difference, driving was mostly my daily commute sprinkled in with a few short trips here and there. Pulled my TT 1 1/2 hours and it made zero difference. Bought several different air filters as that was the only I changed other than my oil. Bout to post my findings in relation to...

Mines not real firm at all, it kinda lazy shifts with a flair at the end and is very quick to get to 6th. Supposedly it’s like that to “protect” the transmission with a partial converter lock shift strategy. I do get firm down shift shifts with the EB on and the shift points are a little later...
Trucks in the shop, when I get it back I’ll snap a picture. This picture is from the morimoto website, right in the middle where the reverse lights are it’s clear and there is a strip that lights up red with the brakes applied.
Swapped out the red lens tail lights for some smoked morimoto tail lights. The reverse lights on these are much brighter than the old incandescent I had, plus now they match the stock 3rd brake light.
