^^^^ That pretty much sums it up. Im 8500 miles into my 2020 aisin. I use a combination of Hot Shots EDT and LX4 fuel additive (1 gallon EDT mixed with 1 quart LX4 - 3oz for a 50gal fill up).So far so good, and I'm not gonna stress over it.
Interesting that they felt the need to publicly announce it. I feel like it goes without saying that most material things will see a price hike in our current market conditions.
I just want through the same decision making process last month. I'm lifting the rear of my truck 1.5" I was looking for an adjustable class V drop within the 8-10" drop range. It seems most stock 3500 4.5gens are good with a 6-8" drop.
First choice was Fastway's all steel 10" drop with 2.5"...
Yep... I switched to Geico. With that said, I actually ended up saving money by switching, and my previous truck was a Raptor.
I was going the Cab & Chassis route and that is where Geico's line in the sand was. They'll insure a DRW as long as it comes off the showroom floor with a bed (includes...
Before I go pulling my rear wheels off... do any of you 4.5gen guys know off the cuff how much wheel spacer can be used before running out of rear hub for the outer wheel?
Long story short.... putting 37x12.5r22 tires on my truck. I can make a 2 inch spacer work but the wheels will be close...
Im in the process of looking at rear dually wheels to accomodate 13.5 wide tires. Can someone point me in the direction of where I might find the 19+ OEM 17" rear wheel specs?
Really just trying to figure out what it'll take to keep the tires off the leaf springs and keep the tires from...
I like to spend money on things that matter and/or yield some level of return. $900 for coils and radius arm drops that will provide a stellar ride quality and keep my geometry the same? sure. A $150 chunk of metal to mildly improve body roll in extreme driving situations on a tow pig that...
I finally pulled the trigger on the lift for my truck. Based on availability and what manufacturers offer for the 3500 dually, I ended up ordering my own kit a la carte with a combination of manufacturers. I've ran into a road block though - I cant seem to find sway bar drop brackets that can...
I'm not one of the CP4 doomsdayers but it probably wouldnt hurt to try some preventative measures in an attempt to extend the life of my 2020 CP4. With lubrication being the main cause of failures I have been trying to do some research on fuel additives that predominantly keep the injectors...
Picked up my '20 3500 CC DRW HO Longhorn a month ago. Had to leave the state right after getting it to take care of some family matters but now I'm back and enjoying the heck out of it.
I'll say I'm very happy with my choice to go with the HO/AISIN combo. And the popular description of the SO...
Title says it all. Are there any differences between the EGR systems on the standard output and high output CTDs?
I'll leave it at that. Just curious about parts fitment.
Does anyone out there have experience with the 3" BDS lift kit for the 19+ trucks?
I was originally looking at the Readylift 3/1 but I like the components of the BDS kit a lot more.... full springs, adjustable track bar, replacement control arms, option to upgrade to fox shocks, etc... I would...
Hah, good to know.
Already going down the rabbit hole of tool boxes, window tint, hitches...... and I ordered some aluminum caps to replace the janky plastic filler cap the truck came with.
Got the truck home. Everything checked out perfectly. The tire PSI was pretty high all the way around though, I'll drop that down today.
I almost caved a few months back and bought a regular laramie but man am I happy that I waited for the right longhorn. The fit and finish blows my raptor and...
For what its worth, I ran Fox 2.0s on my last diesel in alaska for three years and I never had any corrosion issues, even with the hard winters and barely ever washing the truck. My only experience with King shocks is on my RS1 and thats down in California so I cant speak to cold weather and...
Bed alignment, tailgate alignment, belt chirp at idle, definitely AC (we're in florida), hitch adaptor (good save). no aux switches on this truck.
I already checked for the brake controller!
Brewbud, can you shed some light on the plug for the tailgate wires? I dont think I'll ever really need...
