I agree that the two glue beads should not cause that much are restriction flow. The mopar filter I took out was really very dirty. But with the Wix, started having problems. Now they are seemingly fixed as soon as I put on a mopar again. I can’t explain it and it’s also my own anecdotal...
AIR FILTER WAS THE ANSWER FOR ME (at least for now).
Situation: Replaced MOPAR air filter with Wix, after a while frequent Regen's. Have gone back to MOPAR and it appears to be working.
Details:
Regen at 113 miles and 4 hours (city driving)

A few thousand miles ago I replaced the factory air filter with a new on from Autozone (Wix) and didn't think anything of it.
