Obvious issue for a lot of people. Something I do not understand. Why have the dealerships guess at this? Why isn't Stellantis/RAM itself finding the problem?

What was the fix? Dealer replaced my SCCM and the problem is now back after 20k miles. Just reset the battery to see if it stays away.

Although I agree there seems to be a dealer's problem of not fixing it. Clocksprings, SCM, and buttons have been thrown at it. None of those fix it and when you are towing the ability to monitor the truck is important. Freezing screens do not allow it.

@RamCares Ram Cares. This seems to be happening to a lot of the upper trim level trucks. Is there a TSB or a fix. Mine is back to doing it again. Tiring to spend this much money on a vehicle and one of the main things used in towing is the unresponsive dash. Qualifies as a safety concern...

I had the SCM recall done on my truck 3 months ago. After replacement the steering controls have only stopped once since. Disconnected battery and it worked again.

This is kind of the approach I am having right now. Although I am under a 125k warranty I will continue driving it until a failure happens.

So I have the issue with the turn signal clicking back the opposite direction after returning to the "neutral" position. The recall is for the SCCM. Does the SCCM also control the steering wheel buttons that go dead after awhile?

I honestly do not like any of the offerings over stock. The front offset just does not lend itself to a good looking wheel in my opinion.

Actually it is a well documented problem on Rams. Mine just popped and after some Googling it all is out there. There is some chaffing that happens on a body mount. Investigating mine now.

Just to add. If I disconnect both batteries everything works for a couple of weeks and then goes off again.

Mine is doing the same. However, it is just the screen controls for the instrument cluster and the buttons behind the steering wheel for the audio controls. The Cruise control works just fine.

Sorry for the confusion. Digital Instrument cluster is locking up. When that locks up I also lose actual reading in the tow page of the radio screen. They both work after a complete power pull from both batteries.
