Good to know there can be discrepancies. My window sticker, and the door sticker matches and I have the -3. I'm using the window sticker that is from my login on the Mopar website near there are the recalls are listed. But a good point is that the door sticker should be the telling tale. I...
You can determine the building date by the window sticker also. On the very bottom left, you will see the VIN, to the right of that is the VON number and then to the right of the VON number, you will see smaller digit codes like 0418 –3. First 4 numbers are month and date, so it this...
I just noticed that in the Mopar website in the login screen, there is a recall section. But if you look closely at the upper tab, it has a "Customer Satisfaction Notices" tab. This tab would be the place to look instead of just the recall only. Not sure how real time accurate or updated this...
Thank you. Mine is an April 2022 build date with a March 2022 transmission serial number. My app does not show anything. Hopefully others will check their app and chime in.
This is getting interesting for sure. I don't think they sell/sold very many Aisin trucks. There is no definitive breakdown shown, but you can find random GM Medium duty 4500, 5500. 6500 sales figures and they are pretty low. I'm guessing most of the Rams sold are the 1500, 2500 series, and...
What is your truck build date? I'm wondering if this is for June 2022-December 2022 built trucks. Seems most of the spreadsheet were in those timelines with a couple of randoms out of that pack.
Curious what the build date of your truck and transmission was. Do you have that info? It would be interesting to see what date ranges receive this letter.
Edit. Nevermind, I see your post from the earlier pages of a September 2022 build on your truck.
That's a bummer. Seems like yours is an earlier built 22 which I haven't seen many failures reported (some, but most seem to be later in the year). Please confirm your build date of the truck (and transmission serial number when you get a chance). My truck is has an April 22 build date and...
I have about 5000 miles on my 2022 Ram 5500 with the cummins. Driving yesterday out of the blue, the cruise control quit working. On the dash, the squiggly icon similar to the traction control light was on, and the main display said Service Electronic Stability Control. Drove this way for...
At least the transmission is a 2022 build. Hopefully the date range of the bad K1 snap rings can be isolated. I've read posts of 2021's with bad K1 snap rings out in internet land as well. Not very reassuring. I will check the nameplate of my transmission as soon as I get it. I saw on your...
Maybe I'm following the entire thread wrong. I was looking at your response to Bruno who stated they had a 22 3500, but your attachment is for 2023 5500. I must have mixed up the posts somewhere.
I wonder if all the build date of the Aisins are in line with the truck build date? The spreadsheet doesn't seem to have too much info on the transmission build dates (the ones that have it seem to be very close the the same month as the truck build date). The TSB seems to only address the...
I decided and pulled the trigger on a 2023 RV with 2022 Ram 5500 Cab Chassis. Couldn't wait on the one with the 2021 chassis as the heater grid recall seems the lowest priority on the 2021. Now that I'm going through the purchase process, any suggestions you may have? I did a VIN Scan, and it...
Thanks, I'm thinking down the same line. Waiting after waiting a long time tests one's patience. Hard to believe that's it's this hard to spend $200.000+. RAM needs to have a better process for certain cases in my opinion. RV Dealer and Manufacturer has been great.
I think for RV's it might be a little different than a traditional car dealer. I'm not sure if the chassis manufacturer (RAM) sells directly to the RV manufacturer (outfitter), or if the RV manufacturer still has to buy the chassis from a Ram Dealer.
Eventually it will go from the RV...
Thanks for the info. I have a 2023 RV on order but it has a 2021 (June built) 5500 cab chassis. The dealer can't release it to me until the heater grid recall is done, but 2021 hasn't been released yet. There are several 2023 (same RV) that is being shipped to dealers right now with the 2022...
I see on the spreadsheet that most of the transmission failures are 2022 models, but see that there are a couple of 2021's. Is there any more info on 2021 failures?
William @ Ram Cares,
Is there a priority set for new units? Either though the Ram is a 2021, it is a brand new 2023 RV that has been sitting on the dealer lot since the recall. And they can't sell it without the recall being done. I would think a priority could be made on some case by case...
Anybody know when the 2021 official recall will be released? I have a deposit on a 2023 RV, but it's built on a 5500 2021 CAB chassis. RV is brand new, so they can sell without the recall being done first.
