    4Runner to PW

I made the move...a 2021 4Runner to a 2022PW. My reasons were primarily towing related. Although extremely competent off-road, the 4Runner is not a great platform to tow with, especially in the mountains and at altitude. What I really remember is the feeling when I first sat in the 4Runner...

What did you do TO your RAM today?

Did the front and rear differentials at 40K. Amsoil and lots of fun learning about which axles I have and what their capacities are. Wish I would've thought far enough ahead to purchase a pump vs. using the containers the Amsoil came in.

Truck Battery Issues - Cranks, will not start

yes, I have the 6.4 gas. I contacted NOCO and it appears I should read the F'in manual before use. There is functionality internal to the NOCO boost that will not jump a battery below 2v unless you manually override. According to the tech, there can be enough amps present to power the starter...

Truck Battery Issues - Cranks, will not start

My hope with this post is to better understand how a 'bad' battery impacts the trucks systems. Background: Woke up this morning to temps in the low 30's and my truck would not start. This is the original battery, approximately 2 1/2 years old. I understand they are evidently crappy batteries...

Power to Truck Bed- Help Needed

Ok, figured it out. Post #52 of this thread provides the answer. Those of us with factory headlights have a power wire to tap into located under the driver-side area bumper area. https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/led-cargo-bed-lights-wiring.2430/page-3 Everyone return to their...

Power to Truck Bed- Help Needed

I'll take a look. All of the wiring harnesses I've seen are wrapped for war...which is good but makes tapping into them tough.

Power to Truck Bed- Help Needed

What I need help with: - I need to know if I can tap into the existing truck bed lighting (this would be...

Taking care of your truck - Heavy Winter Considerations

I like to pay attention to my battery in the winter. I have an SAE connector on the battery that I run out to make it easy to plug in to my battery tender.

Toyota Has Me Tempted To Separate From Power Wagon

Wasn't trying to compare vehicles and power plants as much as I was trying to capture Toyota's approach to the US market. You get capable off-road vehicles and reliable ones for the most part...but...they don't scratch my itch for all the reasons listed in my original post. I think the new...

Toyota Has Me Tempted To Separate From Power Wagon

I came from a 2021 4Runner to a 2022 PW...and honestly, I've never looked back once. So here's my .02 and it can be summed up simply with...do whatever makes YOU happy. For me, not being able to 'effectively' (without beating the **** out of the vehicle) tow 2660 lbs of dry camper trailer (with...
