I'm horrible with decisions at times, let alone something big like this.. then I think if I get the HO I might find out the SO was more then enough and be in the same boat (insert crazy laugh)
I have driven the SO, the dealership does not have a HO. I'm trying to find one locally that I can test drive. Unfortunately I don't have any friends into diesel trucks that I can get advice from.
Like this 2500
Sorry if you're a member here guy, but I'm calling this one out. I saw this in my town yesterday. I looked up that trailer and a newer model the dry hitch weight is 2560lbs. This is the same reason I traded my 2500 in, because of payload, and I only had 488 miles on it.. Sad and...
I was at a local Pilot travel center the other day and two Rams pulled in, both with diesels, and both towing 5th wheels. Both deliver trailers for a living like you. One was a 2500 short bed with the SO, the other a 3500 long bed HO. I know there is no way the 2500 was within payload capacity...
Thank you, but if you look at the first image I posted in regards to the difference of sales codes on the mirror, under the "Tow technology plus group", sales code XA1, trailer reverse steering control, that is what you are referring to.
I am fairly certain that trailer surround view camera...
I'm trying to figure out the difference between these two mirrors. I know the packages are different, but what makes the mirrors different from each other?
As well as the trailer surround view camera vs. Trailer reverse guidance. I have had the trailer reverse guidance in my previous Ram, and...
My concerns were mostly safety and reliability. I like the idea of engine brake feature, and I read the Aisin is very reliable, not saying the 68 is not, but maybe just not as reliable?
As for fuel mileage, I get with a truck like this we're not purchasing it with a high priority of mpg, but I...
The maintenance I can deal with, I had read arguments about the mileage going both ways. Some people say no notable difference.
That's right, I forgot I read about stock 68's being ok.
And the towing may become more often in the future. I would like to think I'll have the truck for a very long time.
Would there be any reasons not to go overkill with just going with the HO?
I'm new to diesel and not sure what I would need. Looking to get a 3500 long bed Laramie. I can't decide on whether I'll need the HO or SO. I read so many different threads on the decision and it has not helped.
The truck will be used for a 13000# 5th wheel several times a year and Sunday...
Sadly
Sadly it's more then just those cameras. Am I being picky, yes. But that is just one of the problems I'm having, the others are not mechanical, it's dealer and brand related. Rams have always been high quality trucks for me.
Without going to far off topic, I purchased a new 2500 Laramie...
So the trailer reverse guidance view is just a crop from the 360 side view mirrors. I haven't checked yet, my truck is still at the dealership. But, I was thinking maybe in 360 view it's aligned and for some reason thrown out when in reverse guidance mode?
You'd think it should be able to be...
Interesting. Thank you!
My truck is still not left the dealer's lot, I feel like I will take it as a loss if I do take it even though I'm making payments. But they are pretty much giving up on attempting to try to realign it. This among my other issues are very discouraging.
