So I have the opposite experience. I was a big fan when I first had the Ceramic coating done and PPF installed on the full front and rockers. I paid for the 5 year stuff and it started to deteriorate after about 3 months, and don’t get me started on the “maintenance” services for the ceramic...
That sux...back then when I spoke with Carli they said one of the reasons for the switch was the long lead times they were getting from Fox and that building them in house would help eliminate that.
When I installed mine (3.25 Off Road package) they had just been cutting over to the Carli brand...
It has been awhile since I researched all this but if I remember right only having one nitrogen SS tends to “push” the stearing to one side, dialing in the right amount of pressure can be challenging. Having two opposing nitrogen SS tends to neutralize that affect. At least that is the way I...
Unfortunately it is too late, I am into this one for $1200.00.
That is the strange part, this hitch is very beefy and solid, not sure what the deal is.
I am using Weigh Safe WDH. When it talked to them they were very adamant about not backing up with the spring bars connected. I asked “what if I need to back up to maneuver into a gas station pump” and they said I would have to get out and disconnect the spring bars. Not doing so could damage...
Thanks for all feedback. I think I have confirmed what I was thinking. I did manage to shift some things around and “maybe” closer to the 15%. I agree that it is way better to be with in the spec but sounds like a little over is better then a little under when it comes to tongue weight.
Thanks. I just looked into the hitch and was surprised. It is a Weigh-safe middle weight WDH rated at 12,500lbs but...the max tongue weight is 1,250lbs. that puts me over by ~350lbs. I made the assumption that if the WDH was rated at 12,500lbs it could handle the 10-15% tongue weight. Now I am...
I posted this in an old thread but figured I would post it on its own.
I have been going crazy and probably over analyzing this.
In the past I haven’t given tongue weight much though but now I am. I have a question on tongue weight. I have a cargo trailer that when loaded is just under 10k...

though But now I am. I have a question on the tongue weight. I have a cargo trailer that when loaded is just under 10k (9690 to be exact). My tongue weight is just over 17% according to the gauge on the...
What if any affect does the grade that the trailer is sitting on affect tongue weight. Meaning if I have a cargo trailer sitting on my driveway facing down hill on a moderately down hill pitch, how much would that affect my tongue weight reading on a scale. I have a 26 foot cargo trailer, when...
