can't say enough good things about the Hellwig sway bar. It's not cheap, given what it is, but it's the most impactful 30 minute install you can imagine for drivability and towing. It was my favorite upgrade on my 1500 and the first upgrade I made to my 2500, both with air suspension. Doesn't do...
I'm happy the powertrain and mechanicals. The trucks have more than enough power and speed to do what 99% of owners want or need to do. If they're gonna do anything in that department, a focus on reliability and efficiency would be best.
The next model will have to be focused on a new chassis...
oh and the "don't talk to anyone" advice might be accurate, but in my case I posted videos of the issue I was having on YT, more so I could share the problem with the dealer and RAM, and they got a bunch of views and I was never asked to take them down... it was never brought up in any way. If...
oh man, this is a tough situation to be in. I've been through lemon law with a '22 2500 and was lucky enough that Ram offered me a buy-back, which worked out really well for my family and me. LL is a bit of a crap shoot and I'll say to anyone going through it is follow the regulations according...
If I didn't tow a large camper up steep grades a few times a year, I'd have a gas engine. Listening to my previous Hemi truck at high RPM for miles at a time while towing was painful. it never gave up on me, but that drone man... and watching temperatures... Love the diesel for towing, but if...
Overloading the truck is a topic that others can speak too... and they will... at length and so I'll let those folks go at it. But body roll can be improved with a quick aftermarket part. buy a hellwig sway bar. I had one on my 1500 and on my 2500 and it helped keep the truck from nose diving...
I've had a 5th gen 1500, 2500 CC, and a 3500 MC. I'll say now, given the way Ram has their models setup, I'm not a fan of the 2500. That 10k GVWR (now 10.1, I think) is just a killer, especially with the MC, and there's very few reasons not to jump to the 3500. The 2 HD models don't cost...
Have had a 1500, 2500, and 3500 with factory air. In all cases measure and adjust in normal ride height with tire change mode on. Once everything is adjusted you may lower the truck to alt height to increase tension on the WDH, if you prefer it. It’s better to have the trailer nose a little low...
I've had them on my last 3 trucks without any issues and I've come to appreciate them. I'm in MD, so we don't get a ton of snow, but not none and we do lay down a fair amount of salt through the winter.I don't think I could get any of my oldest family members into the truck without them. They...
This has been bugging me for a while and I’m hoping someone can help or at least confirm the behavior of my mirrors. I had 2019 1500 with dimming mirrors and they worked great, dimming when it began to get dark and headlights went on, but the mirrors on my 24 HD suuuuuck. My mirrors only dim for...
I had a 2500 with air form the factory and an aftermarket stiffened rear sway bar and it road pretty nice. I'd say almost as nice as my 1500 with 4-corner air. I don't think the sway bar did anything for the smoothness of the ride, but prevent body roll... allowing for lower tire pressures...
I'm one of the lucky few that went through my state's lemon law process to replace my first Ram HD ('22 2500 HD) due to some gremlins in the electrical system. It'd be reasonable to think I should be wary of Ram, but I'm really not. I've owned vehicles from every major manufacturer over the...
I've got a Bedslide Contractor 1.5k model with a 3/4 pull. BS has a full pull slide at this point, but personally I'd go another route. BS' accessories are handy, but expensive, flimsy, and plastic. I've had to reenforce things like their side trays with my own brackets, which shouldn't be...
Yeah, this why do many of us feel that the 10k GVWR of the 2500 is de-rated or otherwise artificial. No matter what you do with the 2500 you get 10k, but the 3500 and ford/chevy 3/4 and 1 HDs have a ton of variance in available GVWR dependent on engine, wheelbase, and option before you even...
No. the 3500 adds some payload. the 2500s all max out at 10k GVRW regardless of trim and config. The 3500s range from 10.7k to 11.1k for the SRW gasser. The diesels get up to 12.3k in SRW... I think. don't quote me on that one.
