With inflation and supply chain issues, spending the “insurance money” (warranty) now is a hedge against future prices. Labor and parts seem to be going up all the time.
Plus, $2k for a warranty is cheap compared to some of these repairs. A new engine can cost $10k installed, Transmission...
Yeah I have them too. I have gone through 8+ remotes now. They usually work once or twice. The lights themselves look good but they need direct sunlight or else they only last 10 minutes. I’m not super impressed for the cost. I just love the look of cab lights on a truck and wished these worked...
Maybe less stressful to tow but I would be worried about being stranded considering all the emissions garbage they have on the new diesels. I’ve seen threads and threads of issues on here and other forums for the newer trucks. Unfortunate what the EPA has done to the auto industry.
Definitely too early to make judgments about mpg. It will improve.
Also, it doesn’t make sense to move to a Cummins now and pay $10k more plus 50%-75% more for maintenance costs. The newer Cummins seem to be having emissions issues too.
I’d go 35s at the most. I went 35s with my 3.73 but didn’t really like how sluggish the truck felt. Went back to stock. If you had a diesel then I would say 37s could still work.
