Oh I get that! I too have many times gone "black" to get the plane to work properly in my prior career. Still, it never sits with me well and of course they don't teach systems like they used to with us pilots anymore. So we never fully understand what's going on with a particular system.

Thanks Ostracize, there's always multiple ways to look at a problem. My beef is that for what we pay for these trucks, whether a tradesman or a Longhorn, such noises and any other unexplained NVH shouldn't exist.

So unusual noises that don't sound right which cannot be explained and are told are normal by a dealership is something we should be okay with? C'mon.

I didn't go that far. Dealer said the noises were normal. It was another thing that helped me decide to jump on a real good deal at the end of the year Longhorn with the exterior color and interior that I really wanted.

My 2024 has the same noise as yours. Truck has under 18K on it. I had the same noise on my 2019, which was one of the reasons why I traded that in for my 2024. Wish they could lock in a fix for this.

I had this noise on my 2019 and now on my 2024 with 15K miles. Seems to be normal, but still annoying.

Don't worry, it's not because consumers want it. Most likely it'll cut a few cents during assembly.

They also removed the chrome trim from the door handles on the Laramie and higher trim models.

Figured it out. The threads on the screws were being worn down by the liner metal clip, so I ended up using a plastic clip/panel puller to put pressure on the backside of the fender flare lip. I think whoever installed those screws at the factory really tightened them down and started to strip...

Have any of you had any issue removing the factory screws for OEM fender flares in order to install mud flaps? The top screw on both front fender flares just spin. My truck is a 2024 2500 with factory flares and I'm installing Duraflap mud flaps, which I've done on my previous two 2500s. Thanks.

It should fix itself after a bit. Been there done that with my 2019 after replacing both batteries. Everything was back to normal the next morning.

I've had three 2500 Laramie trucks and they have all been great, but the Longhorn interior puts it at the next level.

I'd be more concerned about hitting the fin antenna than the cab lights.

Well, more like yesterday. I traded in my 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie Mega Cab for this 2024 Ram 2500 Longhorn Mega Cab down at Mark Dodge. Honestly, their prices can't be beat and they made it super easy, I was in and out in under an hour!
