That's probably my issue over got an old elm 27 I've had for years yes I have am old Toshiba running windows 7 but when I attempted to run alfa obd and the add on application it force closes the app itself it may be that the laptop is too old its from around 2010 if I'm not mistaken lol

Yeah I noticed that but it wasn't the data link that I had trouble connecting to it was the control unit I reinstalled the app so hopefully it was just a bug. If I can't get this procedure completed what would be the best course of action? Is alfa obd capable of reverting back to stock...

For some reason it kept failing to connect to that module I think this is the source of my problem and why I can't run static ecu I'm going to attempt a reinstall or the app and try the procedure again tomrorow morning and see how it goes. I'll be sure to report back thanks so much for yalls help.
