After 139 days from order (12/02/2022-04/20/2022), you can mark me down as delivered. My truck was delivered to Mark Dodge today which was quite the surprise to me. Going to pick it up this week.
I ended up at 15.7% below the current MSRP, saving me over $14,000. It was well worth the wait...
Got an update today that my truck is on a train headed to Port Allen from the Saltillo factory. My order was placed on 12/2/2021, built 02/17/22 and on the train with an ETA of 04/13/22 to the port as of today. Estimated two weeks from port to dealership so hopefully end of April or sooner...
Spoke with Ramchat and dealer again. Both are on the same page saying the delays with shipping seem to be finding place on trains. Maybe it’s true, maybe it’s a lie to appease me. Either at this point wouldn’t surprise me, but for those in the same boat as me (truck built feb 17 but still not...
This should be troubling for everyone that have their newly built from factory recalled trucks stuck in Mexico. You’ll get them when you get them, after they rot on a lot in Mexico for months.
Spoke with the dealer and Ram today. It appears if your vehicle is “on hold” in Mexico, it is likely affected by the Z20 recall like mine. No ETA on a fix, and no explanation why the dealership can’t just do the software update. I’m assuming there is no software update at this time...
My concern is they have not released the software for the fix yet, which would make sense as to why vehicles are being held. I’m sure whatever it is, it’ll be quick and easy…facepalm
I spoke with Ram and they brought that up, but said it would be completed at the dealership as it was just a software update. We all know they are clueless so you may be correct.
I believe it is “KZ” status. If you call ramchat they will tell you status but they have no explanation of why it’s on hold, or even that it is on hold. My dealer was able to see it was on hold for me.
Just an update
After almost a month of my truck being completed and built, it is still “on hold” in Mexico and has not been shipped. No one has any idea why it is “on hold” and they HOPE it ships soon. I haven’t been able to find any information on legitimate reasons it would be on hold, but...
I spoke with the dealer today who advised it’s likely waiting on a chip. He stated typically 2-4 weeks when this occurs, but said say they have seen instances that it took up to 5 months, although rare.
On another note, my limited mega cab has not made its way onto a train as of March 2nd despite its completion on February 18th. Shipping from Mexico seems like it has slowed or has that been per usual.
The more I look at the data and try to find patterns, the more confusing it seems and it just appears to be almost random. It's pretty crazy really. Two people could order the same truck, and one might get his built and shipped months before the other. Maybe a geographic consideration is...
I'm curious what parts are actually causing the delays some are experiencing. Limited / Limited Longhorn trims seem to be much much more delayed than other trims. I thought it was possibly the night edition that was causing this, however the Longhorn package does not come with the night...
