What’s everyone doing to disable their MDS?

Tow/haul mode automatically disables it. Otherwise I use the gear limiter when not towing.

Do 4th Gen Megacabs Have In Floor Storage?

No they do not. You can store things behind the back seats as there is some room there. And on the drivers side behind the back seat, these is a small cubby that you can put some stuff in. The same spot on the passenger side is for the sound system. However, when you fold the seats down, it is...

    New Tire Search

LT285/60R20E same size as the OEM tires from the factory. No rubbing at all.

I just recently put on a set of BFG KO3 ATs. Loving them!

Octane requirements for the 6.4 Hemi???

Except that HD trucks are not part of the EPA cafe standards (that's why they don't even report a MPG figure on the sticker). Also, the standards have been rolled back by the current administration. I have towed through the Smokies out east and the mountains out west. And I have always had...

Cummins Power Finally Comes To The Power Wagon

Seems to me that it will be a Power Wagon in name only. What made the PW unique, in addition to its awesome off road capabilities, was that soft off road ride. With that diesel it becomes just another off road truck with a rock hard ride. Basically, just another marketing gimmick.

Octane requirements for the 6.4 Hemi???

I did end up purchasing (had to order it) a 2020 Ram 2500 Limited MegaCab with the 6.4 Hemi and 4.10 rear end. The owners manual for that model year say 87 acceptable but 89 octane is preferred. I use it to tow my 9000 pound travel trailer. I have a bit over 50 thousand miles on it now and have...

    Hemi versus 7.3

I have the 6.4 Hemi with 4.10 rear end in my 2020 2500 MegaCab. I tow a 9000 pound travel trailer. I live in Northern Illinois and have towed as far east as Cape Charles VA, as far north as Fargo ND, as far south as Key West and as far west as Yellowstone. And a whole lot of places in between. I...

    Need new tires for 2500

When I took delivery of my truck, the first thing I did was replace those Firestones with a set of Continental TerrainContact ATs. Really loved them for towing my travel trailer, smooth and quiet on the highway, great in the rain. Only area I was looking for improvement was in winter snow/ice...

    Need new tires for 2500

Replacing tires on my 2500 soon. I plan on going with a set of BFG KO3s.

Battery died in my 2020 RAM 2500 and now it won’t shift

Update to my prior post. It was the starter. Glad I have an extended warranty.

Battery died in my 2020 RAM 2500 and now it won’t shift

Been following this tread. On Saturday I had hooked up my TT, but when I went to start my truck it would not. Battery was fine, but I jumped it just in case. Still no luck. And yes the rotary dial would not turn no matter what. I had to get it towed to the dealership. What is interesting...

    7.2L Cummins Rumors

Yes the payload is not great on the 2500. But that is due to the coil spring suspension in order to provide a better ride than leaf springs. If you want more payload, go to a 3500. Or, get the 6.4 Hemi V8, it is a wonderful engine. Not sure why anyone gets the diesel in the 2500 as you cannot...

    Firestone Transforce AT2

I have always wondered why RAM puts such poor tires on such an expensive truck. I wish they would allow you to choose your tire when ordering a custom build. When I got my truck I replaced those Transforce tires after about two weeks. They were just not good. I went with a set of Continental...

Towing 9k trailer with 2500 and 6.4 hemi

I tow a 30' Airstream that is just under 9000 pounds. I have towed through the smokies and the mountains out west. And I have never lacked for power. I use a Blue OX WDH with 1000 pound bars. Great combo. You will be more than fine.

    PW Tows Airstream?

When you buy a PW you buy it for its off road capability, which includes that soft suspension. If you are going to modify the suspension to tow, why did you buy the PW in the first place? You have just destroyed what makes a PW a PW. Should have just purchase a Rebel or any regular RAM 2500. It...

Air suspension and weight distribution hitch

I put mine in the alternate trailer height. This makes the truck completely level. On goes the anti sway/weight distribution hitch (I use a Blue Ox) and every thing is nice and level. Works beautifully.

Why no Power Deployable Running Boards for '24 Mega Cab with Air Suspension

I have them on my 2020 Mega. They were standard equipment on the limited trim level, regardless of the engine choice.

    Just want a better ride

There is only so much you can do. After all, this is an HD truck. Why not only use this truck for its intended purpose and get another vehicle as an everyday driver? And if it has to be an HD truck I would suggest a Power Wagon. Or if it does not need to be an HD but you still want a truck, how...

This is why I need new tires

The tire weight won't matter on the 6.4 either. Especially if you have the 4.10 rear end.
