No prob at all, hope it helped. I used the supplied switch pros harness and added plugs. I normally make my own harnesses downstream for the accessories that attach to it. I stuck to the supplied harness primarily due to the color coding to make identification easier, added the black grounds myself.
Each plug is individually grounded to a common point. That way I dont have to find muliple ground points and its plug and play from there. Here is a crude drawing:
Circled is the common ground:
Im currently in the Phoenix area and have some time to kill, anybody know of any good off road shops worth going to? Was thinking of going to SDHQ anywhere else?
Cheers!
Sorry for the noob questions, but im trying to get a better grasp on the chain stuff. Is it advisable to get two sets one for front and one for rear? If just one, assuming it would be best to put them in the rear to prevent the back from sliding out? I dont really venture offroad in the winter...
Curious, is that how Carli recommends routing the resevoir line or from King? On mine the instructions from King had me wrap the line around the shock which im not a fan of.
Thanks for this!! Ive honestly never had to use chains before (got lucky I guess) also didnt know about the requirement to carry even though the vehicle has 4x4. Time to make an investment….
Do you happen to remember make and model number of the vbar chains? I looked on amazon but the vbar chains they have dont seen to fit 35’s (315 70 17)?
I like it, super clean and looks well made! I wonder if they make a dual antenna mount for the ram like the do for fords? Did you put a different 3rd light (looks different from mine)?
Id take the deal! We are in a unique situation thats finally in our favor. I was in your shoes not to long ago, thats how I ended up in my PW. Dealer offered me waaaaaay more for my Raptor than paid for it (essentially they paid me to drive it for around for 2years which included gas,insurance...
Thanks, yeah I swapped out the clips for a nocco set (a little better quality than the ones that arb included). The alligators are for redundancy or if someone needed to borrow the compressor. Another nice thing about having an anderson plug, is i also modded a jumper cable, so if i need to jump...
The arb twin portable is a beast, I was running that for the longest time before I decided to go hard mount (I got tired of lifting in and out of the rigs, it took up a bit of cargo space, and was worried about theft). I did mod mine to allow for “universal connection” it makes hooking up quick...
Looking forward to seeing the install! Im still debating on the radio, leaning toward GMRS since it seems like its the most common these days, and a easier learning curve vs Ham. Once I get that sorted out, ill prob go the same direction as you with the mount, depending on your review.
I agree, I run a arb twin in the PW and a single in the 4runner and they both do quite well. One thing I noticed is there is a lot of water build up in the lines under heavy use. I may put a water separator in-inline at some point (I should have done it when i first installed it)
