I asked, but waited a few weeks. She's super busy, but also very helpful. I figured it didn't matter if I had it immediately or not. Truck wouldn't be built for a while anyway
I ordered a Longhorn with the 8.4" screen, and when I built a Limited a while back on the website, I could do it. You just can't have the Level 1 group. Looks like that isn't an option on the Limited trucks now, so you might try and call a dealer and inquire.
They also made the build thing...
The 2021 I ordered had its build sheet just pop up this morning on Cryptostickers, so it seems the are still building them (unless that order was one of the absolute very last 2021s). I ordered that one on 4/29
I was able to get a local dealership to quote me affiliate pricing. They just wanted a pay stub or way to verify my employment. Mark Dodge was cheaper because of the holdback removal IIRC
From what I have read, it won't work with these 2020 and up trucks. They don't even have that option on their website.
If having to jump on them and cut sheetmetal means they fit well, I'd hate to see a $1400 step that fit poorly
I've been seeing that you guys are getting the power steps as a line item with the Laramie package. I definitely wanted them, but for some reason, they aren't available on builds with the 8.4" screen and Longhorn package.
I wanted to get the pedal commander and that would be taking up one Obd2...
It is a 2021:

I can ask Ramchat what is going on with the build, and they tell me the same thing as you guys. They've been telling me that since the beginning of May.
Just saying....don't get your hopes up that they'll build it any time soon
Randomly putting assorted parts on trucks as they move down the line seems like the absolute worst way to do it from a logistics and QC standpoint. What makes sense would be to group them by trucks with large differences (interior, engine, etc), then add parts as ordered at stations further down...
My canceled 2021 order has not been built yet. I check it periodically to see progress of '22 builds. The order was put in on 4/29
4x4 Hemi Longhorn
Air Suspension
8.4" screen
Sunroof
Snow Chief
Safety Group
Aux switches
Ctr stop lamp w/camera
some other junk
I used to work in the woods, and around 50% of my miles were off-road. Back then I had a F250, and had to replace shocks every 30k (they were Bilsteins). Get high quality greasable joints everywhere also. That will tighten up the slack.
I just chalked it up as the cost of doing business for...
Been checking on my canceled 2021 order, and it hasn't been built yet. Before I got my deposit back, they said it would be some time during the week of the 26th for it to be built
I'd love to get a 50gal tank for $272. Hemi with a baby tank is going to get annoying fast. I'm going to try and put a Titan one in the factory spot once the truck comes in
Taiwan has been having a drought. They need large amounts of water to manufacture semiconductors. Fires at factories in Japan, where a lot of the automobile chips are also made, have also knocked out the supply. You also have the idiot governor in CA holding everything up still.
The biggest...
2500HD AT4 was the first thing I drove, and it rode like a brick ****house. I also drove a Denali after that. Both of their mirrors shook all to hell, and they design it to seem much bigger than it is. My 04 2500hd rode better. It is a very common complaint among owners.
Went right down the...
That was on a 2021 order. I posted it to show that a case manager was saying they are still building 2021s as of 7/26. 2022 builds will not start on that date
This is the exact wording from an email this morning:
Thank you for your response. This is a courtesy email update regarding your Ram 2500 factory order status. We are anxious to get your vehicle built and shipped to your dealer as quickly as possible and want to assure you that your order has...
Canceled my 2021 order. Case manager said it "might" be built the week of 7/26, and then add a month for shipping. That would put it at 17 weeks if they were truly going to build it. At the point now where I'm not willing to take the resale value hit in 5 or 7 or however many years, so I ordered...
FYI, I was informed this morning by my escalated case manager that my 2021 should be built the week of 7/26. They have been "gathering parts" since the first of May.
I'm ordering a 2022 partially because I don't believe him, and the other part because I'll be out several thousand dollars if I...
I had one on my 2500hd gasser. It was great. Only issues were filler neck size needed to be changed from smaller gas to larger diesel with expander, filling it up would splash out when it got completely full, and it would leak for a few miles if filled to the brim. It would only throw random...
