I *think* it has to do with distance or how good the signal is. In my case at least, the FOBs were probably at a range where maybe they were connecting to the truck, then disconnecting, etc. So maybe the truck was waking up the EVIC every time the signal dropped and then was...
Ok. Thanks. I definitely have very little of the driving you describe and still it stays at 25% which is 15 minutes per hour. And I always lock out 6th when towing as sometimes in 6th on flat road rpms are surprisingly low even with the TT. I am probably wrong and have not heard anyone claim...
Well, there you go. Thanks for the explanation. I will no longer bother idling it up then if that serves no purpose. I wonder why they even put that feature into the controls if not to avoid idle time? I guess if the idle time on the EVIC counts true idle, fast rpm "idle", and slow driving...
My truck sits right at 25% idle time also. I pretty much try to never let the truck idle and still it will not come down below 25%. I am sure as I can be that this is not correct as most of my miles and time are long highway road trips towing the TT. Plus, I almost always idle up by using the...
Yes, more of them are starting to use the pin along with the lock. If Bolt would just do that, they would solve the risk of the pin coming out of the receiver. You would still lose the head of the lock though. I only had an issue with them on bumps. Smooth highway driving I don't imagine...
Yep. Like many "security" things, it just slows down the thief. But sometimes, hopefully, sends them looking for an easier target. I put a cable lock through my two propane tank handles, lock my batteries, etc. also not because it can't be defeated, but because I hope that the tweaker looking...
Be careful with the Bolt, especially on bumpy/gravel roads. Once I noticed the head gone when I arrived at a campground. Someone found it by a speed bump on the campground road and put it in the lost and found. It did not register what had happened as I thought I had not locked it properly or...
To the OP, I would say don't overlook your local dealerships like I did. I decided on a Ram and love the truck. But there was not a huge difference in my mind between the three. However, I did not look into our local dealerships for the three brands. For the recalls, warranty, (extended...
On the iDash I have these set. And when in regen the EGT3 can get up over 1,000 degrees. FWIW, that PID in the bottom left is there just because I can never really find and 8th one to include so I rotate various ones through that spot just looking for a final helpful or interesting one...
Hmm. Odd then that it started acting properly once I got new fuel in the tank. And it has been a couple thousand miles and three 24hr regens since with no issues. Hopefully it will not happen again.
Well you are much more the expert than me. But when it happened to me, it was in between 24 hour regens. There was no unsuccessful regen occurring before it happened. It was not a situation where I interrupted a regen. It simply went into regen with the chimes/bells right from the start. I...
When I get the 24 hr regens which are almost all of my regens, I do not get this message. Once or twice I have and one time for sure and the other possibly, it was because of a fill up with diesel that caused it. The one time for sure, within several miles of filling the tank I got dings and...

I have after market mud flaps so hopefully those will control the stones being spit out. Once in a rare while, I hear one ping so know it has hit something metallic.
One thing I would add is that the LTX M/S2 seems to have a tread that likes to hold on to a few of the gravel stones of our driveway and spit them out when getting up to speed on pavement. Just looking at the tread of the LTX Platinum, they look like they would do less of that.
