Also my truck is a Ram 2500, 4x4 Crew Cab diesel. The rear middle seat bottom has a small cutout for the cup holders but the 1500 rear seat has the fold down arm rest with the cup holders built in and no cutout.
I finally found a thread on this topic “Adding footwell lighting” and No wiring unless the truck came with the courtesy/footwell lighting, according to @JimmyZ and he knows his stuff!
Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know if any of the under hood wiring is worth finding or should I just make my own harness? Since the factory under hood lighting had its own switch, it’s pretty much a stand alone harness. Did it share a fuse with any other circuit?
Those look beautiful! Do you have a part number? Also I have been wondering if the chrome cap is an easy swap or do you have to order the entire lever to get it? It looks like I could pull mine off but I don’t want to try and possibly damage mine.
I have a 2021 Tradesman 2500 and I wanted to add the homelink sun visor too. I bought a 2022 Ram 1500 sun visor on eBay. It didn’t fit as the screw mounting holes were not in the same location and couldn’t be adapted.
Search engine is no help! I can’t find any info on adding the Glovebox Light, under hood light & courtesy light to my 2021 tradesman 2500 CD. I know previous years had the wiring but I think that was eliminated in 2019+ Rams. Does anyone have a link for any of the wiring or can you direct me to...
I bought a 5 button key fob off eBay and the tailgate damper too. Then I programmed it with Jscan and my iPhone. Now my Tradesman has the tailgate release and remote start! Thanks to @JimmyZ
Hey all, I recently picked up my First Ram, mid June 2023, it’s a 2021 Tradesman 2500 CD 4x4 with the 6.4” bed, pretty basic 5” display and the tiny instrument pane. It’s my daily. I have been doing about 300 miles a week, mostly highway for work. No HD stuff or towing, but I did buy a 5th wheel...
Thank you I saw a bunch on Amascum but I really liked yours. I have an old incandescent bulb tester, but it won’t distinguish between 12v and lower voltage readings, thanks again!
Thanks, all I have is 2 12.1” center stacks, complete. My truck didn’t come with the aux. switches but the center stacks both have them. So it really doesn’t matter which aux switches I use, thanks Florotory! I am planning on wiring them per factory.
I have another question for the forum, I...
Jimmy as you know I am in the middle of adding a 12.1” screen, and so I have a 2020 and a 2019 center stack, both have the aux switches are they functionally the same? Can I use either one on my 2021 Tradesman Cummins? Both have the 12.1” screen. Also one has the Lane assist button, should I...
Ok guys so here’s the update: Bottom line is the electronic switches are not compatible (Jimmy knows his stuff!!) and when connected the wipers cannot be turned off, the turn signal switch doesn’t work, and that is as far as I tested it. The steering shaft on the vehicle is extremely hardened...
I am in the middle of this swap (2021 to 2022) right now! It’s not easy! Pictures are coming but here is what I have found and done so far!
I recently bought a 2021 Ram. Coming from too many Toyotas to mention! Thinking it was just a bolt on, I bought a 2022 steering wheel because I wanted...
