Sport Hood Lights / The Birth of The DRX

Great, now everyone will think its FORD coming.
 
Depending on the white LED used they could get a negative response from other drivers. If they are amber are they considered a " chicken Lights" modification??
 
Well, I’m gonna run’em white, I don’t drink, let’em pull me over. I’ve got clearance lights in all corners, these are upper fog lights.

I wasn't referring to cops necessarily, but you do you. Never heard of "upper fog lights" but hey I am only 54 so I don't know everything.

Did you use speaker wire to install these lights? I don't know if the black tape is permanent, but they have these wire tie mounts that would be perfect to route the wire along the hood. They seem top hold up to Southern Az Summers so I imagine they might hold up to the heat under the hood.

Upper Fog lights are a new thing cops haven’t heard of yet, I am taking out the gorilla tape, it is temporary, I have two different types of the two sided tape on wire routers, yes it’s speaker wire.
If you’re off to either side or lane, these lights are not that bright.

I would just ensure the jacket on the wire is suitable for that application - typically that rubber sleeve is not the best for high heat applications.
 
@Lee Iacocca I had the same issue with my 23 Rebel HD and solved it by shimming some plastic between the tabs and the housing. Kinda ghetto for a 80k truck but solved our gap/fllex issue.
Side note: The black vinyl i installed tucked into the leading edge so it shows less anyway even without the shims.
