I had a S&B 52 Gallon tank in my 2022 Ram 3500 Bighorn and loved it for the driving range, but after waiting and waiting on S&B to release the tank for the MY2025-MY2026 I could not wait any longer. After speaking with them many times and their web site only says tooling stage shipping late spring. I guess S&B is spending most of their time on the dust particle remover airbox for SXS and fuel tanks are on the back burner these days.

So I decided this time to purchase a Titan tank. I called Titan and spoke with Anthony and told him what I had, 2026 3500 Limited Mega Cab and 3 days later it was at my door step 7030225 50 Gallon that was in stock. I will be installing it this weekend and this is a new design as they had to change the mold due to a crossmember change Ram did as I was told. Titan also has a military discount on tanks as well for those that have served like myself.

So far I pretty happy with the quality of this tank compared to my S&B I had in my 2022. I don't plan on changing the DTE in this truck either, all I did in my 2022 as when the gauge just came off the full mark I knew I could put roughly 20 gallons into it and will be doing the same on this one as well. I will be having to do some testing as the oem gauge and banks read differently along with the DEF reading as well between the both.

I have been looking at the aux. 50 gallon tank compared to transfer flow. Transfer Flow is more expensive, but they do offer larger than 50 aux. tanks though. Thanks for the note about veteran discount. Another reason for me to lean toward Titan...

Let us know how the install goes, 50gal tank is on my future list I just don't know if my OCD can handle the DTE being off so I think I have to wait for the computer programing to be an option.
You ever have fill up issues at truck stops with the oversized nozzle? We fill up primarily at truck stops and I've heard some of the aftermarket tanks have big issues using those oversized nozzles.

Titan offers a different vent system if you want to purchase it so you can fill up at commercial pumps and not have an issue. I filled up I believe once with my S&B and did not have an issue at the big rig pump.

I wonder if they fixed the sagging issue. The front of the Titan tank I put in my 2019 sags pretty good at the front when it's full.

Got the Titan tank mounted today, took about 3 hours or so on a 12k car lift taking my time with a friend. The tank is supported with 2 bolted straps just like the oem tank and a extra front support, it also slips up and over the front crossmember at the back of the transmission at least on a Mega Cab and I outlined it in a red rectangle.

The electrical connector was a pain to get off the fuel pump along with the fuel line that goes forward as the release was facing downwards towards the pump. I ended up just using a electric transfer pump from harbor freight to transfer the 6 or so gallons over from my original tank to my new tank through the fuel fill with a transmission funnel.

Round trip from Sacramento to LAX with one fill. Or Toledo to Atlanta one way. Very useful.
