37x12.5r20 Toyo AT3 on stock suspension

That looks great. I plan on running 37's on the AEV wheels with no lift in the beginning. I assume you cannot fit the spare in the stock location, correct?
I was looking into an aftermarket tailgate with tire mount as a solution.
I didn't try to fit a new spare, but there is not much extra room there. Others have tried and 35s will not fit.

From what I have read and seen, if one were to heat and bend or use a BFH on the heat shield, a 35" will wedge in there. I would assume a 37" isn't going to happen. I also wanted to run two spares for overlanding trips as I had to spend an extra day in a small Colorado town a few years back waiting on a tire. I tore up two of them in the mountains in two days.

That was OK too. I had to suffer though a beautiful little town with a good bar on a crystal clear river...hard times.

No need for a bfh on the heat shield you can bend it by hand

I have a 35 in my spare location. No beating or bending. I didn't air it down either. As you raise the tire up into place tilt the front up into the heat shield area. Put more tension on the cable and push the backside straight up against the hitch. It'll go. My tires are 34.8" overall, I can't find a manufacturer that lists a larger 35" tire.

Carrying a 37" spare is a PIA. I really wish there was a way to shoehorn a 37" underneath the truck. I almost went 35s because of this. I have two stacked in the rear of the bed on my 2007. The extra weight in the back does help the everyday ride but you lose so much bed space. Right now I just have a single strapped in the bed of the 2020. I will most likely stay with one spare on it. From what I hear, the type of mount I use on the 2007 will not work on the 2020 without some mods either.

Well, after weeks of research and debating I decided I’d try and run 37’s on my stock 2019 2500 Laramie diesel. Went with Fuel Blitz rims 20x9 +20, and Toyo AT3 37x12.5r20. Got a great deal from #discounttire. They test fitted one front wheel as they said they would not fit. It rubbed slightly on the back fender liner. I went home and trimmed the plastic, ground down the pinch weld about a 1/4” and zip tied the liner back. Total trim job took less then 20 minutes. Went back and had them install the wheels. Wheels fit perfectly.

Illl run this until I decide if I want the Thuren +1” front, -1/2” rear setup for a softer ride.
Happy with the AT3’s too. Look aggressive and are smooth and quiet. Running them at 55 psi fronts, 53 psi rears.
How much poke do you have? Thanks
