ForceofWill's 2025 Tradesman light build.

Got the Morimoto XB Tails to work finally. They say for 2019+ HD Rams but there have been changes in wiring for the 2025's as we all know. The third brake light works perfectly but when I initially hooked up the tail lights they didn't work right. The reverse lights came on for the running/parking lights but the blinkers worked. I let Morimoto know and they said they would take them back for me and sent me an RMA. Very good customer service but I actually wanted the lights, not my money back lol. So I decided to get off my butt today and figure it out.

For our 2025's with NON LED tails, we have 4 wires in a 6 pin plug. After some metering, for the truck side of the plug the colors are:
Reverse: White/Purple
Black: Ground
Brake: Green
Running/Parking: White/Orange

I don't have the pinout for the Morimoto side of the plug and there are 6 wires in the plug so I just matched what seemed like the two that weren't working correctly and swapped them. I cut the Red and White wires on the Morimoto adapter harness and put some spade terminals on them and swapped them in the middle. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to de-pin their plug. The tails work now, it's just the outside is the brake/turn signal and the inside is the running/parking, which is opposite of what I think it's supposed to be. I actually like the look of it this way so I'm just going to leave it. I think they match nicely with the granite.IMG20250730185933.jpgIMG20250730185939.jpgIMG20250730185953.jpgIMG20250730190025.jpgIMG20250730190039.jpgIMG20250730190107.jpgIMG20250730190118.jpgIMG20250730190348.jpg

Also, I didn't really notice until now but with a Tradesman I have full convex mirrors. The higher trims have that mirror like 60% of the size with a puddle light or something taking up the rest. I'm really glad I got that full mirror instead of some little light. They're still power adjustable and everything and I have them set to see my back tires nicely and my blindspots. Makes reversing into spots nice and easy when you can see tires and white lines.
