Hey all,
I’ve been trying to find the best info I can for this scenario but have kinda struck out. Don’t really want to rely on the dealer to tell me what I can/can’t do so maybe you can help.
We are planning to buy an RV. Me personally would prefer a 5th wheel but I think I’m very limited on what I can do. There are a few that have pin weight around 1500-1600 that would work great for us. My concern is I’ll be basically AT payload with that and our peoples.
Truck: 2022 Ram 2500 mega cab payload 2,655
People: 4 of us plus 2 dogs equaling about 800 lbs.
Question I have is, I doubt I’ll actually hit the axle rating on the truck but will be right at payload dry. And when I add stuff to the trailer I’ll likely be over. Anyone else had this situation? Am I stuck to travel trailers? Fine if I am as there are way more options that work there.
Thanks!
