New '25 2500 Cummins - Crooked Steering Wheel on Highway, Fighting to Keep Straight

UPDATE:

Truck spent the last week at the dealer and we finally have a culprit!

Firestone Transforce AT2 tires.. They swapped some wheels around and the problem followed one particular tire..

Put another set of wheel/tires on the truck, and the issue magically disappeared.

And the Steering wheel is Straight?
Yes, my steering wheel is now straight at all speeds.

So I will re-iterate one time because it seems there was some confusion on my *exact* issue..

I will clarify that before, driving around local roads UNDER 50MPH, my steering wheel was ALWAYS straight.

My crooked steering wheel ONLY happened OVER 50MPH on highways/parkways/interstates.

Now after swapping the wheels around, my steering wheel is straight no matter the speed, under or over 50.

As others have said, the drag link needs to be tweaked. It takes 5 minutes to do. I've also noticed that in most cases the steering wheel will only be truly straight on the center lane (3 lane highway) due to the enginneered crest. It will still be "off" in the far right or left lane.

Yep, what he said… I have owned three of these HD’s, they have all been like this to varying degrees, but my tires wear perfect and I do mostly highway miles. I live in pittsburgh where all the roads have heavy crowns. When I am driving through the mid-west or western states where it is flatter in general and the roads seem wider and flatter it’s almost non-existent.

I also have a couple cars, and it is less noticeable in them. I think with the size and weight of the trucks and size of the tires compared to a car with low profiles and lower rolling resistance… the cars are less effected.

I’m not saying to give up, but as someone who is extremely particular about most things… I have concluded that if the tires are wearing true and the wheel is centered in on flat straight road (hard to find) then it’s fine.
