This may not be the appropriate location for this post - apologies if so.

My used pickup only came with one key - my local dealer told me that the correct key, 68575431AA (Fob) and 68399889AA (Physical key) is no longer available. This seems insane and preposterous to me. I don't care if my Key says RAM or LIMITED on it - just want a spare. The dealer claimed only that P/N key would work and nothing else could be programmed. They said aftermarket is the only source now - which again seems nuts considering my truck is still under the 3/36k factory warranty until May 2026.

Any others running into this?

I bought a fob off eBay for my 2021 Longhorn and used J- scan to program it to the truck. Worked like a charm.

For a small investment, you can program your own FOB and also have a tool (JScan) that lets you do other mods.

Dealer or locksmith can cut phy key based on VIN. I got lucky and got both my spares cut free by my son that works at a RAM dealer. :)

Thank you for the tip. I am checking with a different Stealership to see if the Fobs are actually NLA or just back ordered.

Dealer can also program the FOB listed in that thread unless they're being *holes. However, total cost may not be less depending on their charge. Usually if you buy the FOB from them, they'll program them.

There are some other FOB suppliers we've had trouble with so best to avoid anything but the one listed as these are known GTG by many folks here that have used them.
