Hello all, I just receive1000005168.jpgd my new/ordered 2026 Ram 3500 Mega cab diesel DUALLY short box. There appears to be missing middle section of the rear dual wheels liner.
The dealer is telling me, this is how they come now. I just can't believe this. Coverage in front and back of wheel well, but open middle. Mud, rocks, and water will fill the wheel well.
Is this true? No middle section for new 3500 duallys?

They have not had a middle for quite a few years now and no issues….

Hmmm ... doesn't make any sense. It will promote rust in places you can't clean. Why would they line the 2500 completely and not the 3500's.

Undercoating is the only rust prevention that works the plastic linners wont prevent rust lol

On my 2021 which has that small liner installed at the factory, there is a large uncovered area at the top. It really only has cosmetic value, if any. Probably better with no liner at all since at least you could wash the metal wheel well. Stellantis probably saved 50 cents a truck by eliminating it.IMG_3869.jpeg

I used this to cover that bare spot on my 2023 and 2024 - mostly for looks.
