2026 3500 DRVM Trailer Cams

I am really confused.

I have a Limited, so I have all of the other cameras, including the 360 view.

I understand that there is a single camera option and a multi cam (2?) camera option to be able to have my DVRM show the view out the back of my 24 foot trailer.

I believe the multi camera option is to allow 360 degree view with the trailer, not just the truck.

Do I have that correct?

Next, for 2026, what model number of system do I need to make this all work. When I picked up the truck September, the word was that they had to come up with a new camera for 2026.

Help please.

360 for trailer. The truck has its own surround view. The DRVM with external camera mounted on the back of your camper should provide 3 camera views in the mirror if you have side view option on you L/R mirrors. There is a camera built into each mirror. So you would get camera on back of trailer view in the center and then L/R view in your DRVM.

In general there are a lot of sticky threads with FAQ/How To information that is listed first in each section of the forum. A lot of the times most issues have been discussed, resolved, or explained. I hope this helps. enjoy the new truck!

You are not alone. I just bought a 2026 2500 Laramie with all the cameras including the digital rear view camera. I watched a u-tube video and the person attached the 6858611AA OEM camera kit and it allowed him to see behind the trailer thru his digital rear view camera. I got online with Mopar and put in the PN and was told it did not fit my vehicle. I e-mailed Ram and provided my VIN and their reply was that the part did not come with my vehicle. Well of course not that's why I'm ordering it. They told me to go to the dealer. I went to the dealer and they said the PN i gave them would not fit my VIN. I did Chatgbt and was told that "PN 68586112AA is the correct OEM trailer camera kit. No people buy Rams 2500 to tow or haul. If Ram cant figure out a trailer camera maybe we bought the wrong truck.

Im hoping someone can straighten this out.
