A couple years ago, RAM took the tool where you could put your VIN in and it would pop up with the Capacities for your specific vehicle or one you were looking at.

Then they removed it and it no longer works and the link will take you to where the "charts" are that you pull up and match up your specs to get a "general" idea of your capabilities.

Well, I was stumbling around online and ran across this https://www.stellantisfleet.com/ramtrucks/towing-guide.htmlSelect Now it will come up and when you click the by VIN number it will show ONLY 2022 as your choice. I went ahead and put the 2024 number in there and it came up saying 2024.

It is for commercial trucks not "consumer" trucks, but...if you put a VIN in it will show it. I was just seeing what was out there for 24 Ram 3500's with the 6.4 and saw a couple BigHorns at a dealer that were pretty sweet at 72,600 MSRP and 60,600 marked down. https://www.claremontcdjr.com/inventory/new-2024-ram-3500-big-horn-4x4-crew-cab-3c63r3dj4rg351288/

So, the above has a 4K payload and a 17K max tow... Not bad.

So, on New Years Eve these are like the last other than some Trademan's that tick my boxes. But right now I'm good with what I got.

It worked for my 2022 and showed the correct payload per the yellow and white sticker on the door frame.

Saved from a couple years ago. Was also 45k brand new. Did anything get updated to raise the prices?

Unfortunately, did not work for my 2022 as well, met with the enter valid vin. Can only get the generic by model type numbers.

I'll bring this back to the top and confirm that it still works.

A few years ago, RAM derated trucks and my 2020 RAM 3500 HO w/4:10 rears was included. I bought it with the GVWR of 14,000 lbs. Max tow of 34,305lbs and GCWR of a whopping 43,000lbs. (PS: I'd NEVER tow that much as the brakes on ALL Dodge/RAM diesel have sucked since the first I owned in 1998) Anyhoo, a couple years ago they without notice downrated my truck from towing capacity of 34,305 to 32Kish if I recall. Does not affect me at all except hotshots. No reason was ever given. After that time, the VIN to tow capacity disappeared. I am speculating a lawsuit etc etc was probably the cause? Never heard a good reason why.

Don’t see the need, it’s posted on the truck’s stickers. Why would I need a website to tell me info that’s already on the truck?

Not all the towing data is on the door sticker.

If you don't see the need, perhaps just keep your comments to yourself. Your constant animosity towards the membership at large here is growing tiresome. You've had multiple warning regarding this. Stop now.
