Just bought a 2024 3500. Got it home and grabbed the fabric zipper pouch of new truck stuff outta the glove box, assuming thats where the owner's manual would be. Nope! No owner's manual, just a few thin "quick-start" guides with very limited info. Next day, I called the dealership to let them know I didn't get an owner's manual. They said the new trucks don't come with owner's manuals and that I'd have to download it. WHAT? No owner's manual? I can barely work my phone well enough to send a text msg, no way I'm gonna try to download an owner's manual and THEN have to refer to it every time I need to know something. Is this true? Do the 2024 trucks not come with an actual printed owner's manual? Or is the dealership full of crap?

Most new vehicles are coming with a digital manual these days no paper copy. You could always go to your local library and print the important pages you would need such as fuses if you don't have a printer

Mines a ‘23 and came with one. I would assume the ‘24s do as well. I say they’re full of it.

Yeah, my TT did not come with one. I had to down load it. Maybe they changed it.

Manuals used to come in a nice “leather” case. Then they came in a fabric case which became a vinyl case. That eventually became no case at all, just plastic wrap. It would seem that getting rid of it altogether is the next logical step.

I only had the thin owners manual as well. I called customer care and they sent me one for free. All you need to tell them is your vin number.

Bought a 2023 PW in Dec 2023 - came with a hugh owners manual in a nice pleather case.

Maybe I got a new Person on the phone. He sent it to me at 0 cost. It came in the mail about 7 days later.

My truck is also a '23, purchased in October. It came with an owners manual in a similar case. It also had the quick reference guide others have mentioned.

I figure they save two or three bucks on every vehicle they build by not providing an owners manual. More profit by screwing the customers. On the other hand I guess a lot of owners don't even take it out of the glove box.
If they stop providing them with vehicles, sure it saves them a few bucks. But as you also mention a lot of people never even take it out of the glove box. So why waste the paper, ink, glue and electric to make them? I'm not saying a single owner's manual is going to save the planet, but thousands has a little more impact. If they're noticing that people don't want them, or more specifically don't use them, there's no sense in wasting the resources. Perhaps a good solution is to make less of them, and make them available upon request.

I have a paper manual/book. I've looked at it when I have questions and I'm away from home. But I also downloaded the PDF version and will reference it when I am home because it's a lot quicker/easier to search ("ctrl F" is your friend). I like having a paper manual, but if they stopped making them I would manage just fine, as I'm sure most people would.

Mine came in some sort of purple bag with a drawstring. I wonder if Canadian Club makes a bag this size, it’d be at least a little classier…

I called Ram today and ordered a manual, they're sending it for free but they couldn't give me an ETA. So for anyone who cares, no the new trucks do not come with an owners manual but yes you can contact them and order one for free.

Silly place to try to save a few bucks IMO, but I guess the younger generation of buyers who grew up in the digital age don't care about a printed manual. These kids have their entire lives on their phones, I can barely send a text message.

Embrace the change lol! It is easier to search in a pdf than in a manual. Outside of that, I prefer a printed manual in the glovebox.

My 2024 3500 came with a owners manual but I am in Australia maybe they think we dont have internet here and hope we can read lol
Picked my truck up 2 months ago.

Ordered my rebel in July, built mid July, delivered mid august. No manual, no binder. The only thing extra I got was a white cloth sack with Aux switch wiring parts, a tailgate plug, and some random print offs. I was directed to the Ram app for the manual, but on the Ram site there’s an area to request a paper copy.
