These are the 'R1' rear coils from Carli. I installed their pintop kit and then decided to get the heavier 'R2' springs after they were available. These will work with a load up to 1500 lbs according to Carli and will ride +1 inch when empty.
$485 + shipping retail. Sell for $200 + ship...
Alcan heavy leaf springs for a 19-up (maybe earlier?) RAM 3500 Cab and Chassis single rear tire. This is for a truck that has a consistent 6000-6500 lb rear axle weight. Stock springs with overloads are for a wide range of loads. If you have a camper or a service body these will ride better...
More weight will help up to a point. You have a heavy axle and wheels and a somewhat light bed and frame. When the axle goes up, it tends to stay up, so the bed and frame will go up too. Making the bed heavier will tend to isolate its movement from the axle. You can go lower on the rear...
Just do a search for 'lateral head toss'. Plenty of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) papers on it.
To fix it is a compromise between shock stiffness and sway bar stiffness.
I got the front Carli sway bar with the stock rear. The front sway is soft now and the rear is stiff.
I think with both stock stiff sway bars, the dips that cause most of the head toss were averaged out. Now the front does little and all the head toss is created by the stiff rear sway bar...
I installed a Carli Pintop 2.5 on my 2021 Ram 2500. Didn't touch the toe-in, measured it and it was 'just' slightly toed in. Set the Carli track bar to their numbers and the axle shift was dead on by my highly accurate tape measure. I didn't replace the trailing arms and since the ride height...
Thanks. That really helps, esp. the wiring to the mid-tank sender.
Just crawled under the truck. I have a 2023 RAM 3500 C&C (60" CA) Cummins. It has four lines and electrical running under the frame. Two fuel, two brake lines. Looks like that doubles the amount of work, esp. since I can't...
I want to install a second 22 gal tank on my 2023 RAM 3500 C&C. I'd like to keep the rear tank as the primary, transfer fuel from the mid tank using an AUX switch and have both fuel gauges with the range guesstimator. Looks like the retail price would be in the $1200 range.
I ASSuME that I...
I have the Carli 2.5 Pintop on my 2021 2500 RAM. It uses the stock rear swaybar with new links. I used a longer bolt and double nut on the lower drivers side instead of the Carli parts. It takes only two minutes to loosen the nuts and swing the link up to the frame where I have a bracket to...
I'm also in the NW (Corvallis OR area) and have wasted an entire day looking for a 10-30 diesel oil for sale. So, I just push the Amsoil button and it lands on my front porch for a reasonable price. Cheaper or the same as local stores. I pay the $15 for a 6 mo preferred customer because I use...
I got the same word from ARB, 2019-newer has a different front axle or spline count from the 2018-older and the Power Wagon (33 count). Haven't found a Mfgr that claims to have a locker to fit.
Anyone seen a locker available for the front diff of a 2019-newer? ARB says no, that the newer axle is different. I think the spline count has changed, but can't find any info.
