I have had several Curt towing products over the years and they have all worked well and had good prices. However, they have all seemed a bit "clunkier" than their counterparts and tend to rust more.
I'm curious. Have you tried setting one of the areas on the instrument cluster to compass?
Also, the soft keys on my center display has a Nav button that shows the direction I'm going. Is that what is showing the dashed line when yours doesn't work?
Something else I'll throw out there is that I've heard lots of people put the Goose Box down because it uses an airbag as part of it's suspension.
On my truck I use air bags to reduce roll in the coil spring suspension when towing, they are empty the rest of the time. Our camper's pin weight...
I don't know who makes the frames for Grand Design but chances are good it's Lippert. You'll want to make sure whatever goose box you get won't void the frame warranty. I've got the Reese Goose Box and really like it a lot. I've got both the B&W ball which is nice because it and it's chain...
I can't say I ever really had an issue with regens, though it didn't take much to load the DPF up. I started adding Archoil a few months ago and regens are now at what I would consider a sane level.
I don't think it was a length issue. IIRC the new bolts had a higher torque value than the old bolts. It's been a while so I could be wrong. In any event is sounds like you already have it satisfactorily installed so I'll stop looking for the instruction sheet.
I hope that works out well for you. I'd be concerned that they wouldn't send the bolts with it. When I installed my OEM step it came with replacement bolts.
I'm sure I've still got the instruction sheets around here somewhere. I'll see if I can find and scan them.
The mirror heaters and window heater operate from the same button at the same time on my factory equipped truck. In fact, every truck I've ever owned that had heated mirrors and rear defogger operated at the same time from a single button.
My old 2017 glow plug equipped F350 started like a gasoline powered vehicle. Even in -20°F weather there was virtually no delay. It had over 300,000 miles when I traded it in.
No, I just lay it up on the dash. The cord is long enough that if I'm parked I could set it out on the tonneau cover but so far no reason to. I saw a bracket for securing the antenna to the dash but it cost too much in my opinion.
