I can't say I ever really had an issue with regens, though it didn't take much to load the DPF up. I started adding Archoil a few months ago and regens are now at what I would consider a sane level.
I don't think it was a length issue. IIRC the new bolts had a higher torque value than the old bolts. It's been a while so I could be wrong. In any event is sounds like you already have it satisfactorily installed so I'll stop looking for the instruction sheet.
I hope that works out well for you. I'd be concerned that they wouldn't send the bolts with it. When I installed my OEM step it came with replacement bolts.
I'm sure I've still got the instruction sheets around here somewhere. I'll see if I can find and scan them.
The mirror heaters and window heater operate from the same button at the same time on my factory equipped truck. In fact, every truck I've ever owned that had heated mirrors and rear defogger operated at the same time from a single button.
My old 2017 glow plug equipped F350 started like a gasoline powered vehicle. Even in -20°F weather there was virtually no delay. It had over 300,000 miles when I traded it in.
No, I just lay it up on the dash. The cord is long enough that if I'm parked I could set it out on the tonneau cover but so far no reason to. I saw a bracket for securing the antenna to the dash but it cost too much in my opinion.
Well, let me tell you. Rather than mess with Google I marched myself downstairs, grabbed a magnet off the refrigerator and in my house shoes and short sleeved shirt braved the 5°F elements to prove a magnet won't stick to my very lightweight tailgate.
It stuck.
I moved it to another spot.
It...
Google says 2019 model year.
Note that the "Ram Classic" models (which continued to produce the 4th-generation body style after 2019) still used steel, but all new-generation 2019+ Ram Heavy Duty trucks adopted the aluminum unit.
I'd also like to note that even though the bush dented my...
I have had no issue whatsoever with my 12" infotainment system. No issue with the paint, either. I will say though that the aluminum the tailgate and hood are made with is barely thicker than what you wrap leftovers in. I backed into a bush and it dented the snot out of my tailgate.
Back in 2017...
I noticed new Fords have 5G while Ram does not. The problem I ran into using the truck's modem was that power had to be on. With my old Ford I could start the truck then turn it off and get 30 minutes of connect time. Now I've got StarLink mini that plugs into my 12v outlet. Good to go!
I do not, but it looks like one of your standard 1/2 ton towables.
You are definitely over thinking this. It's hard not to do that.
At one point I switched from a slider hitch to a non-slider. I figured I'd need to compensate for the lack of slider rails so I set the hitch plate at its...
And I want to thank you for your service!
Without you we'd all be watching TV in the dark! ;)
Seriously though. I respect and appreciate anybody that keeps our country running. From the kid flipping burgers to the guys working on those high tension wires that use helicopters to access. If you...
A slider hitch is going to put the hitch plate quite a bit higher than normal. You are very likely going to need it at the lowest setting, however, if you really want to avoid adjusting it at the dealers lot, it's better to be high than to be low so that you maintain bed rail clearance.
I...
