    Switching From Ford?

I understand that. Just wondering. Seemed like a notable increase over the last couple years. Ford trucks and Tremor forum had a combined 18 issues reported out of thier 1st 80 threads. 3 on tremor forum and 15 on the ford truck forum which includes trucks back to 2011. I asked because I've had...

    Switching From Ford?

Does anyone feel that there's been a increase in reported issues associated with the 6.7 Cummins over the last year on here? I think something like 17-20 of the 1st 40 posts in the 6.7 comments thread are related to issues failures recalls etc.

    Regens at alarming rate!

Pretty sure dpfs/catalytic emissions systems are are not required to be warrantied past 50k. Kind of a fine print type of deal.

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

I agree on the mds, I tuned it out of my 5.7 hemi with a bully dog I believe it was. Whats this auto shut down you speak of? I know some diesels can be programmed for auto or timed shutdown to allow turbo too cool down but not sure thats what you mean.

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

The 4.30 geared tremor with its stock duratracs cruises at 75mph at 2000rpm and my 3.73 6.2 cruises at 75mph at 2000rpm so less aggressive gearing would be going backwards in some ways to me. 9th and 10th in a 3.55 truck seemed good for mpg but I'm hunting more for powerful loaded acceleration...

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

I agree with everything you said there. Have you driven a 7.3 with the 4.30 gears? I've test driven three 7.3/4.30 fords and maybe 6 or so with 3.55's. The 4.30 trucks feal like a totally different truck in a good way and all the 4.30 trucks had the taller 35" duratracs compared to 33-34" 3.55...

    Considering trading my 2017 f250 6.2 for 2019 3500 6.4

I have a 17' 6.2 lariat and have strongly considered the 6.4. I've found throughout about one dozen test drives that the ram has less steering wheel feedback and a more stable feel, like less of a bump steer feel. Ram seems to Generally have a smoother ride on 3/4 tons but both brands in one...

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

For what it's worth my local dealer that carries GM ram and Ford said you'll likely be waiting on parts for any of them. I will say that here in Iowa there is significantly more ram truck availability from looking on lots and cruising auto trader, at least ram compared to Ford. I haven't been...

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

It would be fun to build a truck to spec. My current dream truck would be a 2500/3500 cummins with carli/thuren setup on 37s. In my recent pursuit of an upgraded Gasser I started test driving diesels and that was a financially poor decision.

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

I don't have ownership level seat time but I have hundreds of miles of test drive time including doing weird stuff like taking the vehicles to Steep hills and noting down what amount of throttle forces a gear change and at how high of gear each truck could pull Hill at what RPM Before it would...

Any news on a bigger gas engine?

I think both the modern hemi and Ford engines are pretty awesome but when it comes to towing and tq capability the ford definitely wins hands down. It's not just the power plant it's the combination of Ford having more horsepower, torque and at low RPM along with having the most aggressive rear...

    CP4.2 to CP3 conversion

Absolutely! I haven't bought my truck yet and am hoping to use a new sale as bargaining tool to get what I want. Like......I'll buy and maybe service with you but I want you to do this for me and we have a deal, type of thing.

    CP4.2 to CP3 conversion

I went and talked with my service advisor about installing this conversion on a new cummins. He first said it would almost certainly void powertrain warrenty due to ecm tuning/deleting. I then I mentioned it appears that this conversion is plug and play, emissions compliant and and requires no...
