I hadn’t seen any concrete measurements, but I figured being DOHC and several hundred pounds heavier than a 6.7 would lend to a larger package.
I do agree on the 2nd part though, wholeheartedly.
If that’s the route you prefer, Dorman makes a bung that just requires you to drill a hole, and then simply bolt in the drain plug.

It won’t change operating temperatures one bit. More fluid just takes a bit longer to heat up is all.
I put one in, and the drain plug is invaluable. It’s a nice piece.
Why?
Because I bet RAM is the single largest customer when it comes to the volume of engines that Cummins sells to. Honorable mention to PACCAR.

I just completed my first 24 hour regen cycle in over a year, but I wager that was more to do with it being mostly highway miles at 70-85mph.

Yeah, there is no need to get things complicated with a flush.
I drop the pan, pull the filters, and let the trans/converter drain overnight. Button it back up and re-fill the morning after.
