Drove the truck another 50 miles, checked it when I got back home and the dip stick was dry again. Truck drove total fine and normal. I added another quart and a half to get it to hot full in neutral. I’m now in it 9.5 quarts. Bottom of the truck is still dry .
Ended up with just over 8 quarts and it’s sitting just above the full hot mark at 165 degrees. After the last top off and test drive it seems to be shifting smoother. Hopefully I didn’t hurt anything in the transmission but driving it a quart and a half low on fluid.
Note for anyone changing...
Now that I think of it. I basically filled up my 10 quart drain pan and that doesn’t include the half a quart that missed the pan because ram was to cheap to put in a drain plug
Something I did just think about, the trans was still at operating temp when I took the pan off, could the thermostat have still been open allowing more fluid to drain out? Then by the time I was done with the fluid change it was closed with air trapped in the cooler. Then it and opened after my...
I know there are a bunch of thread on servicing 68rfe but I want to make sure I’m not crazy or don’t mess anything up.
Truck is a 21 6.7 SO 68rfe 150,000 miles I serviced my transmission today, both filters and 7 quarts of atv 4 purchased from the dealer.
I did check the 4x4 sump filter, it is...
Anyone used this winch mount? Its the only hidden winch mount I’ve been able to find for the 4.5gen trucks

My truck had 2” front spring before I put the 37s on.
They don’t rub after a 1/2 spacer and a thuren front sway bar. Before that they rubbed on the sway bar and on the radius arms.
They ride good a little rougher and a little more shake than the Yokohamas I had before but not bad at all...
My issue seems to be solved, must have gotten a bad air filter replaced it again and the now I’m back to 24 hr scheduled regens only.

I wish I would have monitored mine a little more closely before I started having issues. 110k miles trouble free kinda lulled me into a false sense of security.

I was just thinking about this. The Ccv returns right into the top of the turbo, I was using a standard boost leak tester https://a.co/d/2522fme this one to be exact, so I was basically pushing pressure straight into the crankcase? Or is there a check valve in the Ccv circuit that would prevent...
My truck went from regens only on the 24hr schedule to regens every 200 miles. I tried to boost leak test the truck and all the pressure was coming out of the oil fill cap if I had it off. If I left it on I could get pressure up to about 15 psi then I kinda just sounded like are moving through...
