Mine does it too. Significantly more when the shop spends more time doing a thorough drain of the oil as opposed to the quick lube place I previously went to. they told me it was normal and calmed down after I put some miles on it.

I'd decline. Not about the money, $200 is fair, but I just don't feel the need to upgrade the software that they say is better for your truck to diagnose the items you mentioned. It should already be doing that effectively enough.
