The specific symptom is:
with the rain sensing wiper “on” in settings and the stalk in an “intermittent” setting, upon starting truck getting a single wipe (no rain present) and subsequent, very random dry wipes with no rain present and when rain is present, more frequent random wipes, but...
The only reason I bitch about mine not working is probably because I paid for it. If I wanted a Big Horn, I’d have bought one. This, along with the front sensors that go haywire when the rear sensors are off and the hvac system that seems to have a mind of its own are the reasons I contemplate...
Mine does that and I’ve documented the symptoms associated with the problem in another post. I’ve replaced the gel pack, the sensor and another gel pack, and checked the settings (with Alpha OBD) against another trucks settings that happens to function as they should.
That’s where mine were set.
Still exhibits same symptoms.
I had read somewhere the auto wiper is somehow tied in to the “auto” climate system. I’ll have to verify that and possibly investigate. It’s quite boggling.
