So it's not all the time, but I've noticed that when I get into my truck sometimes there is a strong "smell" inside. Definitely smells like exhaust or something to that effect. Is this typical with diesels?
I'm in Las Vegas on a business trip. Anyone know where the good spots are to shop truck accessories? I know I can just Google, and I will, just thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions .
Yeah tbh the trucks I was looking at online had payloads over 3K so to be under 2300 is kinda surprising and honestly bums me out a little lol. I mean, it'll handle the camper I have now and I do have some room to grow, just not as much as I figured I would.
Whaddup all! Just purchased my certified pre-owned 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie last Thursday. Made the ascension from a 2008 4.7l Tundra. Can't wait to tow with this beast. Before that I had a single cab Ram 1500. This is my first diesel so I'm still trying to learn the ropes with maintenance...
I know this is a broad question with several different variables, but do you go through over 1/4 tank of def fluid for roughly 500 highway miles? I see guys quoting mileage in the "thousands". Just trying to estimate other drivers DEF consumption experiences
Man I know, it sounds dumb (no pun intended) lol. It just started though, so I wanted to make sure it isn't an indicator for a problem. And if so, what is the issue?
Vehicle: 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie. 20K miles
Ok, basically what I'm experiencing is a weird beep roughly 30 seconds after engine start (the closest I can describe this sound is like a toy lazer gun sound that lasts for 1 second). It only "beeps" once. There are no stored messages or dummy...
So does this sound right? 2020 Ram 2500, completely stock. Just purchased and wanted to take a road trip. DEF was full when I left, drove ~450 miles and am down to 3/4 tank (unsure of total DEF capacity...gonna look up).
Question with the pumps. How do we know the stuff in the tanks at Loves etc isn't expired? Or, what is the effect of them refilling the tanks with fresh DEF to mix with the unknown older DEF?
