Trim package is SLT, believe all those matte grill surrounds come chrome from the factory. I'll probably swap it out for color matched parts and the correct black grill.
Paint is ok it just has texture to it so it stands out. And maybe cause I'm used to seeing my 2500 everyday for the past few...
I think one of my batteries or both is shot.
What have you all had luck with Battery brand wise? My go to would optima yellow top but had one fail recently after a year.
That's quite the build ya got goin! Yes an Isata 5 28ss extreme. The bagdes look factory blacked out. The grill, facial and handles look to be painted.
Bought a Ram 5500 based RV. I have some LED headlights sitting on the shelf for my 2500. They seem identical between the rigs. Assuming these swap over just like a 2500?
Also curious if the front facial is the same. All the trim, grill, etc... basically looking to get all the night edition bits...
Noticed last week I can see the creases in the dash where the passenger airbag sits. Wondering if anyone else has the same issue. Not very noticeable but it looks like the material that covers the airbag section relaxed and sunk in.
Anyone have any luck using something to tighten that area...
I was finally able to do this. Found a CAT scale close to my place.
Truck alone:
Front: 5220lb
Rear: 3340lb
Gross: 8560lb
No WDH:
Front: 5020lb
Rear: 4560lb
Trailer: 8000lb
Gross: 17580lb
With WDH:
Front: 5160lb
Rear: 4320lb
Trailer: 7820lb
Gross: 17300lb
The tanks were not filled the same...
Are they doing long travel air bags for the 5th generation yet? I think long travel bags with the backcountry kit is the sweet spot for a 2500.
It towed fine without them. The equalizer hitch helps level the truck out. Without the timbrens or equalizer it will squat a lot.
