Had the same idea. Really a shame no one has been able to make something like this. No idea if it's technically possible but I can't imagine the encode the video from the cameras. However, I don't know if the feed is active all the time, that may be the issue.

Looks like it works fine the pin outs are the same gray or black. You just have to trim the plastic key off so it will fit into the mating connector.
