Jimmy07 coming in clutch.
Glad it sounds like you're getting the help you need. This thread is exactly why I'm afraid to mess with any of the computer settings. I bought a tool (Jscan) to be able to adjust my tire size after putting on bigger tires, and I was nervous about it. I can't imagine...
Exactly where it should be. But alas, a 3 month span during the 2023 production don't have it. It's not even the whole model year, so it's not even like it wasn't available for that year. Just a programing oversight that they refuse to fix.
I've never seen a truck manufacturer do anything more than that. Every truck I've been under has either had tape, or nothing at all. In fact, Dodge used to just leave them open too, so at least they do something to try to keep stuff out now.
Well, maybe I can give you some new found trust in the brand. I've got a 2015 Tahoe with 197,000 miles on it and haven't had any major issues. As far as HD trucks though, I like Ram and Ford better, but I'd trust a Chevy truck just fine.
I've owned all of the big 3's trucks (plus some of the others' cars and suvs). No surprise at all, they all have pros and cons. You get onto any forum and you're going to see a lot of threads about problems/concerns. That's why most people post a thread. It's either to complain about, or...
Yes the update to wireless CarPlay/AndroidAuto is one of the best subtle changes they made. Not a big flashy selling point, or something they really push, but it definitely adds some noticeable convenience. It's a small thing, and certainly not something to be the sole deciding factor on a...
I've had the same experience as Jimmy07 with HD radio.
IMHO, it's okay. It's nice when it works, but can cut out when the signal isn't strong. On the upside, if you lose HD, you can still pick up the standard signal so you're not without music. The main thing for me with HD radio was that...
I wouldn't call it incessant complaining. It's not like I'm making multiple threads about it, repeatedly looking for new answers. But if it comes up in other threads, I'm going to address it. I know the "solution", which is not an acceptable answer to me. Others may be okay with resolving...
LOL. If only I didn't have to buy a something that does 99% of the same stuff as something I already have.
Or you know, they could actually put stuff on the truck that they say is there (and other trucks with the exact same trim and year have). Just sayin'.
It's like the manual telling me how...
Yeah, when it comes to 1" or less, it doesn't seem like much of a difference. However, I certainly understand where a little bit can matter. For example, I really enjoy driving my Jeep (2 door) most of the year. In the winter, when I'm wearing multiple layers and/or a heavy coat, I just...
Yes, coding. You may not have to know how to code, but that's exactly what you're changing.
That said, it is not "point and click." You still have to know the abbreviations and where to find them. In my thread about disabling RSRA, Jimmy07 was kind enough to try to help, and posted this...
You're absolutely right, I could. But I shouldn't have to go aftermarket and get into the computer of a brand new truck to enable a feature that is available from the factory on nearly every other truck of the same make/model/year.
If I hadn't already had a Jscan (which I do), and I was...
