I don’t know if it is an 11.5 inch rear diff or a 12 inch. The 11.5 takes 75/85 oil & the 12 inch takes 75/140. The mechanic at the dealer would not tell me. He said he just put in what “they” handed him. I am concerned that he put the wrong oil in it.

The rear diff started making a howling noise at 500 miles when decelerating. The dealer said to run it. I waited until 4300 miles until they replaced the ring & pinion. The new gear set started howling 400 miles after being replaced. The dealer said to keep running it this way. I would like to...
