Actually I don't either. I got under the truck, dropped the spare to get to the connector behind the bumper. I was able to pull the harness off the bumper connector. I accessed and tapped into the purple wire in the harness which goes to the center pin in the 7 pin connector. I believe this is...

Did you just pull a tail light out and access the wire from behind or did you come up from below? Haven't torn into that yet but was thinking about the easiest way to get to the backup light wire.
